Ash Class discussed what we do to help ourselves with our mental health this week and what we can do to help others when they are struggling. We then decorated some leaves with words or pictures to highlight our understanding of mental health.

In Oak class, we have taken lots of time to focus on "This Is My Place". We have learnt about our feelings, how we can comfort ourselves and one another as well as the word 'belonging' and all of the different people and places we may feel a belonging to. We were fabulous at using our listening skills to talk to our friends and listen to their favourite things. We shared ideas about how we can cheer ourselves up when we feel blue and what we can do if we see if someone else is sad. Some of the class have recorded a special verse to remind us that 'This Is My Place'.

As part of Children's Mental Health Week, Sycamore class worked on a whole school project. They put positive words inside a leaf each and decorated it. This will be part of a whole school tree - keep your eyes peeled for further updates!

In Hawthorn this week, we explored the importance of being safe when using AI. Together, we created a bookmark using an AI generator and decorated it. We then discussed how amazing this tool can be, but also unpicked the dangers of staying safe. Here are some of our creations of our own AI robots and bookmarks - ours are completely safe!
