See our Facebook’Twas the night before camp, and all through the house,
Not a child could sit still—not even a mouse.
The bags were all packed by the doorway with care,
With hopes that adventure soon would be there.
The children were buzzing, too excited for bed,
While visions of campfires danced in their head.
“Have you packed your warm jumper? Your coat for the rain?
Your old trainers for water again?”
“Don’t forget your toothbrush, your soap, and your things,
And a torch for the dark when the night owl sings!
A water bottle handy, a hat for the sun,
For long days of laughter and outdoor fun.”
“Your PJs are ready? Your socks in a pair?
Enough change of clothes? Clean ones to wear?
Your towel for the showers, your suncream too,
And maybe a book if there’s quiet time through.”
“Remember your medicine—grown-ups should know,
And label your items so nothing goes.”
“Be kind to your friends, take turns, lend a hand,
And listen to teachers—they’ve got a good plan!”
“Try something new, even if you feel shy,
Climb high, aim big, give it a try.
Eat up your meals and get plenty of rest,
For camp days are busy and full of zest!”
At last into bed, though excitement still grew,
For morning would bring something thrilling and new.
So off drifted dreamers with smiles on their faces,
Ready for camp and adventurous places. ✨

🌳NOW WITH THE CORRECT DATES FOR WILLOW AND OAK FOREST SCHOOL 🌳
We have been lucky to have been offered 6-weeks of cricket coaching from Somerset County Cricket Club and their outreach team. All classes in KS2 will benefit from this brilliant opportunity but it means that we have had to adjust the PE timetable.
Forest School dates for Willow and Oak classes are also shown now so these classes will have PE on a Wednesday as normal and then their 3-weeks of Forest School as well.
Please remember that PE kit should be:
🟡black, navy or grey shorts/jotting bottoms
🟢a plain white t-shirt
🔵a plain dark hoodie or school jumper
🔴We have seen a small increase in children wearing very short gymnastic shorts again and some football strips - let's work together to keep our PE uniform looking smart.
